Daniel Bodin @mxbodeen from Sweden performs first ever backflip in a snowmobile wearing a Leatt neck brace.
Freestyle trickster Daniel Bodin 31 has created extreme sports history by executing the world's first snowmobile double backflip, completed trick near home in Malung, Sweden
Considered the 'holy grail' of snowmobile tricks, multiple previous attempts at the feat had come up short in past years, most notably when Levi Lavallee tried it at the X-Games back in 2009.But it was Bodin who became the first to truly land the move.
"It just can't be described nobody in this world can understand the feeling," said the Swede.
"I've nurtured the dream about nailing this trick more than two years."
"I still haven't realized that I made it. I am the first in the world to do a double backflip with a snowmobile that weighs almost 500 pounds," said Bodin after the jump. Bodin's custom-built snowmobile actually weighs 450 pounds (204kg).
A two-time gold-medallist at the X-Games, Bodin has confirmed that he won’t be attempting to replicate the trick as part at the upcoming games in Aspen starting this weekend.
"I did it! I can’t believe I did it! The rush! It just can’t be described – nobody in this world can understand the feeling. I’ve nurtured the dream about nailing this trick more than two years"....Daniel Bodin
